What our client wanted

Following London Welsh’s promotion into the Premiership and subsequent move from Richmond to the Kassam Stadium, a marketing initiative in and around Oxford to: raise awareness of the move, engage and begin developing a NEW supporter base and drive ticket sales – with a focus on the first home fixture.

 

What we did

Within 4 weeks and a very limited budget, we identified key areas of focus to really get under the skin of the Oxford community, including online, local and national press, hit squads, on-trade, local businesses & organisations, out-of-home and military.

 

What we achieved

Attendance for the first fixture at the Kassam Stadium against Leicester Tigers was an impressive 7,200! That’s a 480% increase on the average match attendance at Old Deer Park for the previous season.

Established opportunities within the local media and community for future activation.
